Now that Stranger Things Season 4 is officially finished fans of the show are officially turning their attention to the fifth and final season. It turns out that the writers for Stranger Things are also going to be turning their attention to the next season fairly soon.
It makes some sense that people would be wondering when work on Season 5 for the Netflix show is going to start production. After all, the wait between Season 3 and Season 4 was longer than fans first expected considering that the coronavirus pandemic put a freeze on that kind of work. Some of the latest comments behind the writers of the show indicate that there isn't going to be anywhere near the wait for the next installment.
Strangers Things Season 4 Questions Part 1 Leaves Unanswered
The show's creators, the Duffer Brothers recently spoke to Collider about their plans for Stranger Things now that Season 4 is done. Ross Duffer said that they're going to be taking a «little vacation» in July and then they're going to be getting right back to work. If that wasn't specific enough for some people, he added that the writer's room is going to be getting started in the first week of August.
While fans are likely going to be happy to know that the people behind the show aren't taking a ton of time off between seasons, it does seem like there's going to be at least a little wait for Season 5 of Stranger Things. The realization that the scripts are not yet written at all, and won't start to get written until August puts all other production further behind that date. Even if the Duffer Brothers do have the final season mapped out, it doesn't appear that there's a word written down as far as what's actually going to happen or how in the scripts.
