Matt and Ross Duffer comment on when fans can expect to see Stranger Thingsseason 5 land on Netflix. From relatively humble beginnings back in 2016, Stranger Things has since become one of the biggest shows on the planet, telling the story of a group of youngsters from Hawkins, Indiana, who fight against evil monsters from another dimension known as the Upside Down. Season 4, which just recently surpassed 1.5 billion minutes watched on Netflix, is the biggest yet, introducing a new villain in the form of Jamie Campbell Bower's Vecna.
After the first 7 episodes of Stranger Things season 4 were released at the end of May, the final 2 supersized episodes hit Netflix last week, bringing the season to a close on something of a cliffhanger. The Duffer Brothers have previously confirmed that the upcoming fifth season, for which a writers' room is expected to convene in August, will be the show's last. Stranger Things season 5 is expected to bring back all the core cast members, including Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, David Harbour, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Winona Ryder, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, and Joe Keery, among others.

The Duffer Brothers make clear that, despite the desire to give fans season 5 as soon as possible, the shorter the timeline gets, "the more things get compromised." Check out Matt Duffer's full
