Viewers can't help but feel she now has her own motives and is trying to figure out which path is the right one for her to take.

It seems Welcome to Plathville viewers feel Lydia is severely overworked and underpaid for what she does around the family home. Viewers still don't understand why Kim and Barry won't enroll their children in public school. In a recent Welcome To Plathville episode, Lydia was seen teaching her siblings during what was supposed to be her lunch break. There is no doubt that Lydia often takes on a motherly role when she should be enjoying her teenage years. Fans were quick to note that since Kim has been away from the family home, Lydia has once again had to step into the maternal role.
Fans were already annoyed with Lydia after her passive reaction to her sister, Moriah Plath, breaking up with her boyfriend, Max Kallschmidt. Many felt that Lydia was insensitive to her sister's difficult situation and may have actually had a crush on Max herself.
