Wartune Ultra, the popular web MMORPG by developer 7road International HK Limited, is finally set to launch on Android and iOS platforms later this year. An official release window is unknown at this time. However, pre-registration is now open for players across both platforms.
Wartune Ultra Finally Hits Mobile After a Decade
Wartune was first released by 7Road and publisher R2Games in 2012. Combining elements of strategy, city-building, and turn-based combat, it became an instant classic.
Wartune Ultra was first announced on the game’s 10th anniversary, as a closed alpha test called. Wartune Lite. Two additional tests were held in 2023 before the name changed.
The mobile version aims to utilize the new skill systems and mechanics developed from those tests. Players take the role of a great lord in Wartune Ultra. They must lead the construction of their city, recruit Sylphs, and combat the dark forces that threaten their homeland.
The main conflict between the Human Empire and the Void Legion is reignited, and players must return to Cloud City to seek the guidance of Dinah.
Cross-Play and Release
Wartune Ultra will also feature cross-play functionality with PC. Data will be synchronized across PC and mobile devices, and players will be able to engage in Guild Wars and PVP battles with other heroes across both platforms.
The game aims to deliver the fun of the web version for mobile fans. It can be pre-ordered via Google Play and the App Store now. Be sure to keep an eye out for our upcoming Hardcore Droid review when it finally launches!
