Ventrue Unveiled as Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines 2's Fourth Playable Clan
Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room have unveiled Ventrue as the fourth and final playable launch clan for Vampire: the Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. No gameplay has been revealed for the Ventrue at this time, though Paradox assures fans they’ll get to see the clan in action early next year as part of an extended gameplay reveal.
The Ventrue are called by many names in Vampire: the Masquerade, including the Clan of Kings, Blue Bloods, Tyrants, and more. Ventrue are especially selective with who they bring into the fold, focusing on people with power and influence in order to cement the clan as the leaders of vampire society. Ventrue are frequently found in leadership roles within the Camarilla.
On the gameplay side of things, Ventrue focus on domination both towards foes and allies alike. Their Disciplines Presence and Dominate allow them to mesmerize and compel their targets to obey. Ventrue aren’t all control, though. Their Fortitude Discipline allows them to soak up incredible levels of damage if they need to get their hands dirty.
Two additional clans will be released as DLC post-launch, with one of the new clans offering a new way to experience the main story and the other to feature a unique Seattle story.
