Vanderpump Rules: Katie Maloney Slams ‘Inhumane’ Roe v. Wade Decision
Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney is reflecting on the recent reversal of Roe v. Wade, a decision she calls «inhumane.» Katie, who is divorcing Tom Schwartz, is one of many celebrities who have spoken out about the Supreme Court decision. Last year, the Bravo star revealed she had an abortion early on in her relationship with Tom.
Katie decided to disclose her abortion amid her and Tom's fertility struggles, which were documented on Vanderpump Rules season 9. The procedure occurred before she was cast on the Bravo series. Katie, who was in her early twenties at the time, talked about how different her life would be without it. Though still married to Tom at the time, the former waitress remarked that she would've ended up as a single mom. She discussed her decision to go public during the explosive reunion episode, filmed a few months before her marriage ended. Now, after the major blow for abortion rights, she is opening up about it even more.

Katie spoke about the ruling in a Wednesday, July 6 interview with Page Six. “We knew that this was happening because they’ve been laying the groundwork," Katie, who is dating again after Tom, remarked. Still, she described it as «a sucker punch.” Calling her abortion a »difficult" and "critical" choice, she said, “Now it’s trying to wrap your head around the fact that there’s laws around a health care choice like that." Sometimes, the Utah native added, "it’s not even a choice; it’s a life-or-death decision," as even wanted pregnancies can«become non-viable» and/or«life-threatening.” The reality star expressed disbelief that „so many people would have opinions about something that is just so sensitive.” She
