Joseph Morgan, who plays the character Klaus Mikaelson in the Vampire Diaries universe, has confirmed that he will be appearing in the Legacies series finale. Klaus is an anti-hero and one of the originals, who are the first generation of their bloodlines. Although Morgan played the character in both The Vampire Diaries and its spinoff The Originals, he has not appeared in Legacies, set in a school for the supernaturally gifted attended by his daughter, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell). Legacies, which premiered in 2018, is currently airing its final season 4, after Legacies was cancelled alongside several other CW shows last month.
Over the past few weeks, Morgan has been posting a series of cryptic messages on his social media accounts that seemed to be teasing his big return as Klaus in the Vampire Diaries universe. In late May, the actor posted an attempt to clear things up about his potential Legacies appearance which, if anything, made his posts appear even more cryptic. In fact, Morgan's insistence that people stop searching his tweets for hidden messages about hisVampire Diaries role reprisal seemed to be winking at them to keep theorizing about Klaus' Legacies finale return.
