The CW show Legacies is set to air its series finale and it will take inspiration from the show that started it all, The Vampire Diaries. Legacies is a spinoff of both The Originals and The Vampire Diaries, and features characters from both series such as Hope Mikaelson (played by Danielle Rose Russell) and Alaric Saltzman (played by Matthew Davis). The series centers on Hope and picks up 2 years after the events in The Originals, where Hope is now a 17-year-old attending the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted in order to hone her skills as a witch-werewolf-vampire being, or known in the show as a Tribid.
Hope is born from Klaus Mikaelson (played by Joseph Morgan) and Hayley Marshall (played by Phoebe Tonkin) who are descended from some of the most powerful vampire, werewolf, and witch bloodlines, and who both appear in The Originals and The Vampire Diaries. The penultimate episode of Legacies entails an epic battle between Hope and Ken (Luke Mitchell), her nemesis set on destroying her. A key point in this battle is Landon (played by Aria Shahghasemi) who resurrects MG (Quincy Fouse), Jed (Ben Levin), and Kaleb (Chris Lee) in order to help Hope fight Ken after Ken initially kills them.
