Unannounced Bethesda games leak, including Dishonored 3 and a new Doom
A leaked court document has revealed a roadmap of planned Bethesda games from 2020, including numerous titles that have yet to be confirmed.
The list, which was published online overnight, was part of an internal Microsoft document from July 2020 summing up its proposal to acquire ZeniMax Media, Bethesda’s parent company (an acquisition that would be announced two months later).
The list, which is sourced from a ZeniMax presentation, lists numerous games and DLC planned up to the end of the 2024 financial year.
As well as such titles as Starfield, Redfall, Ghostwire: Tokyo, The Elder Scrolls 6 and the upcoming Indiana Jones game, the list also includes several games that have not been announced. These include a new Doom game called Doom Year Zero, with plans to include DLC in the year of release and more the following year.
Dishonored 3 is another title on the list that has not yet been announced, as is a sequel to Ghostwire: Tokyo. Also on the list are remasters of The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and Fallout 3, as well as titles simply called Project Kestrel and Project Platinum.
It should be noted that this list was likely created before the Covid-19 pandemic arrived, heavily delaying most AAA video game development.
As such, although the forecast goes up to the end of the 2024 financial year, it’s likely that any planned games yet to be announced will release after this. For example, the list also suggests Starfield would release by the end of June 2021, which was at least two years off.
