The court documents from Microsoft’s FTC case are the gift that just keeps giving, although in this instance it seems someone released a document they should have not, as it’s been removed the US courts website.
The unredacted PDF file, “EX PX1050 Phil Spencer 101122.pdf” seems to show the Zenimax release schedule since 2020 and goes out until the end of the 2024 financial year. The Bethesda financial year runs (I think, you can never ben too sure as they can be whatever the company likes) runs from April to March, so FY24 actually ends in March 2025. That would mean this release schedule is clearly out date as it lists Indiana Jones and a Remaster of Oblivion for FY22, which ended a few months ago. We also know from another leak that The Elder Scrolls VI isn’t out until 2026.
So the timings are wrong but the games may not be. The document also lists a Fallout 3 Remaster, an Oblivion Remaster, a sequel to Ghostwire: Tokyo, Doom Year Zero, and Dishonored 3. The Ghostwire: Tokyo sequel will be interesting as Sony paid for that to be PlayStation exclusive for a year and I would assume have some sort of agreement in place for any sequels.
Also listed is Project Hibiki, Project Platinum, Project Kestrel, and a game based on a licensed IP. The names give little away, Hibiki is a posh Japanese whisky so may that game is set in Japan?
As Microsoft’s policy for Zenimax seems to be only allow games with an online component to be multiplatform I would pretty much of all these to be Xbox and PC exclusive.
Personally I’d love a Fallout 3 Remaster, it was a great game but the frame rate was utterly shocking when you got in a big battle. Ghostwire: Tokyo was also an unexpected gem and one of the few games I bothered to finish that year,
