Umbrella Academy: Viktor's Costume Has A Heartbreaking Ben Connection
As The Umbrella Academy prepares for its third season, posters and images from these new episodes have been gradually released, including a look at Elliot Page as Viktor Hargreeves, which reveals a heartbreaking connection to his brother, Ben, through his clothes. The world of superheroes has been dominating film and TV in recent years, and this success has made way for darker and lesser-known stories to make the jump from the comic book pages to other media, as was the case of The Umbrella Academy. Created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, The Umbrella Academy made its debut on Netflix in 2019 and became an instant success, and it’s now preparing for its third season.
The Umbrella Academy tells the story of the Hargreeves, seven kids who along with other 36 babies around the world, were born on the same day and under the same mysterious circumstances. After hearing about this curious event, scientist and billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves set out to adopt as many of those babies as he could, but he only got seven. As they developed superpowers, Reginald trained them and formed The Umbrella Academy, but the team split up as years passed and reunited many years later when Reginald died and the end of the world was fast-approaching. Since then, the Hargreeves have worked on improving their bond and dynamics while also saving the world, which hasn’t been easy as they have already gone through some tragedies, such as the death of their brother, Ben (Justin H. Min).
