Question: What does the fast-paced retro FPS game Ultrakill have in common with the likes of Max Payne 3, Grand Theft Auto V, and Cyberpunk 2077? Well, aside from notable amounts of guns, it also gets to play host to some new music by noise rock/industrial band Health. The ultraviolent indie shooter got to help debut the band’s latest single “Hateful” as part of a new addition to the game, which you can listen to below (cheekily copying the Max Payne 3 soundtrack’s cover).
The new “cybergrind” song certainly seems like a perfect fit for the game’s incredibly fast-paced robot/demon carnage, which also receives twenty community-made arena patterns, friends-only leaderboards, a new revolver variation, and more new music by Keygen Church, among other things, as a part of its latest update. Ultrakill is currently available in Early Access for PC, and the new Health music should give you an extra reason to go check it out if you haven’t already.
