While there are brilliant new games hitting digital storefronts pretty much every week, it's definitely a different story when you zoom in on physical releases. In the realm of disc-based titles, the usual summer slump is in full effect, and you can see it in action on the UK's latest bestsellers list. Topping things off is Hogwarts Legacy, which has been in first place for three weeks in a row.
The Sims 4's latest expansion, Lovestruck, enters the chart strong in number two, and that's with a physical release only on PC. It pushes EA Sports FC 24 into third place, its lowest position for a good while. A handful of Switch games lead to Grand Theft Auto V in seventh, then The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt GOTY Edition is eighth, and Elden Ring is down to ninth.
Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition has slipped down to 13th, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown moves down nine places into 18th.

Almost bought Hogwarts Legacy the other day in a sale and then remembered hearing Rocksteady is working on a Directors Cut and figured I might as well wait as I'd already waited this long.
physical sales charts are pointless doesnt take into account 2/3 of the market which is digital.
