Torchlight: Infinite Season 2 Update, The City of Aeterna, is Coming September 8th

Torchlight: Infinite will get its Season 2 update, expansion content called “The City of Aeterna”, on September 8th.

The update follows the first season after the game’s global multi-platform launch. In the update, will be able to expect the City of Aeterna (though it may not be what you expect), along with new content to dig into, and of course, new loot. 

In the announcement, the city is the subject of legends, especially since one day it disappeared into fog. Where the city once was, there are ruins amidst withered trees and leftover mist. This foreboding location is ripe for the plundering, since there are secrets and rumors of ancient power and wealth inside this new labyrinth. This isn't the first time any adventurers have found the ruins and potentially, the city, in a search for treasure. 

The legend indicates that chosen ones will be able to reignite the city's flame and the opportunity seems right to enter at this point. When the new season begins, the fog is rising again. You'll get to take the risk to explore and find all of the piles of loot that you can lug back with you. As long as you don't become trapped down there in all of the fog until someone finds you in the future. 

XD Games has released a brief teaser, which will lead into a full-fledged announcement stream on August 26th. The teaser sets up the mystery, but details on just what there will be to do in the new update and new season will all be revealed. You’ll be able to catch the stream at 12 PM PDT on August 26th on the game’s YouTube and Twitch channels. 

The free update promises content for both the experienced dungeon crawling vets and newer players too.
