THQ Nordic held it's yearly showcase earlier today, showcasing all of the interesting titles they have coming in the near future. A whole bunch of exciting titles were shown off, though the highlight was undoubtedly the first trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin. Nickelodeon confirmed the game was in development earlier this year, and now we finally have a trailer officially revealing the title, albeit an extremely brief one.
If you're expecting the typical jolly TMNT experience with The Last Ronin, then you're in for a bit of a shock. Based on the comic of the same name by Eastman, Waltz, Bishop, Delgado, and the Escorza Brothers, The Last Ronin is one of the more darker stories in the series, and has you playing as the last surviving Turtle who is seeking revenge for the family that they've lost.

Unfortunately, this new trailer didn't bring with it a release date or even a release window. In fact, it was so slim and lacking in detail that all we know is that the game is officially in development and is being made by Black Forest Games, the developers of Fade to Silence and the recent Destroy All Humans! remasters. We also know that The Last Ronin appears to be skipping last-gen consoles, as the game will only release for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
Given that we still don't have a release window of any kind just yet, or even any gameplay to pore over, we can assume that The Last Ronin is still a few years away at best, which would also explain the lack of last-gen console support.
