With just a few months until the theatrical release of Thor: Love and Thunder, merchandise for the film offers a new look at Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster and Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie. Behind Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Taika Waititi’s Love and Thunder is one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Following multiple release date changes due to the COVID pandemic, Chris Hemsworth’s fourth solo outing as the God of Thunder is finally set to release in theaters on July 8.
Following the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019), Love and Thunder will presumably pick up with its titular character aboard the Milano alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy. The film is also set to see Hemsworth’s God of Thunder pass his mantle to Portman’s Jane Foster. Joining them is Thompson’s Valkyrie, Jamie Alexander’s Lady Sif, Christian Bale’s antagonist Gorr the God Butcher, and Russell Crowe as the Greek god Zeus. As moviegoers not-so-patiently await the first trailer for Love and Thunder, it appears the first look at the film’s characters has been spoiled through merchandise.
