James Gunn, the creator of the hit HBO Max series Peacemaker, has given his reaction to a picture that gives a shot from Thor: Love and Thunder a Peacemaker twist. The first trailer for the upcoming Thor sequel dropped a few days ago, and the ending featured a shot of Natalie Portman's return as Jane Foster, this time wielding a reforged Mjølnir as the Mighty Thor. The teaser received a lot of high praise, hitting 209 million views within its first 24 hours.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe film will see the original God of Thunder (Chris Hemsworth) at a stage in which he doesn't exactly know what he wants to do with his life after the events of Avengers: Endgame. His search for inner peace is suddenly interrupted when an intergalactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher (Christian Bale) begins a quest to eliminate every god. Now, Thor must recruit his alien friend Korg (Taika Waititi), New Asgard's King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), and his old flame Jane Foster/The Mighty Thor to help him defeat the villain.

Gunn, known also for writing and directing the MCU's Guardians of the Galaxy films, has responded to a Twitter post featuring an edited shot of Jane Foster/Mighty Thor from the trailer. In the image, instead of the winged helmet seen in the trailer, Jane instead rocks the helmet that's worn by John Cena when he plays Christopher Smith/Peacemaker in Gunn's DC/HBO Max show.
