A Chinese laptop maker has put together a unique configuration that offers up to a 64 Core AMD EPYC CPU, NVIDIA RTX 40 Desktop GPUs & liquid cooling.
The laptop comes with two different AMD EPYC CPU configurations, the EPYC 7713 and the EPYC 9554, both of which are 64-core chips based on Zen 3 and Zen 4 architectures, respectively.
The inclusion of server CPUs into the laptop segment is in itself something that is not standard in the laptop market since integrating them is an achievement on its own since you are dealing with problems such as high power consumption coupled with higher temperatures. Not to mention the cooling mechanism you would need to cool Team Red's CPU behemoths rated at up to 350W TDP, but the manufacturer has included an interesting solution.
Apart from the inclusion of AMD's EPYC CPU, the laptop also features NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 4080 desktop-level GPU, which is yet again something quite surprising for the device, considering its form factor. Such specifications not only make the laptop a high-performing one, but it does come with a drawback which is its size.
From the images that surfaced, the laptop is much bulkier and thicker than an average one, and it is justifiable given the fact that it houses cutting-edge specifications. Having a server-oriented CPU & desktop GPUs integrated into a laptop isn't something we see every day, and it will be interesting to see what kind of response we see from consumers.
To top off everything, the laptop comes with rather a "distinctive" cooling mechanism, to cool down the massive laptop and the components in it. It features the world's first built-in split liquid cooling system, which makes use of radiators instead of heatpipes for enhanced heat dissipation from
