Dana White, the president of the UFC, has announced a new video game called Power Slap, where you'll be slapping people online. The game was inspired by a controversial show called Power Slap, in which two people slap each other in the face as hard as possible.
The upcoming game has received some pushback online for several reasons, one of which is an allegation that it copied another mobile game called Slap Kings.
On top of that, another concern is that players may try and mimic this game in real life. When Power Slap originally aired, it received a lot of criticism due to the danger of getting hit in the face repeatedly. In a BuzzFeed News report, Kortney Olson, a retired slap fighter, explained that she has been struggling with memory loss and a few other health issues because of the show. The Buzzfeed report explained that participating in slap fighting is dangerous because getting hit hard in the face rapidly can lead to mood changes, cognitive impairment, memory loss, and even dementia.
