's 1.6.9 Update is finally here for everyone and while it not only makes some great quality-of-life improvements, there is one glitch that already has a fun in-universe explanation. Console players have waited months to get their hands on the Farming RPG's massive 1.6 Update but developer ConcernedApe went above and beyond by pushing it out as the 1.6.9 Patch which includes everything in 1.6 as well as some additional upgrades. While the community is still digging through all the improvements, one bug hasn't escaped unnoticed.
Posting to X (formerly Twitter), ConcernedApe noted that he's aware of an issue where players' chickens disappear if they start a new game on the Meadowlands farm and open the coop's animal door on Day 1; Fortunately, he's already come up with an explanation as to why this happens: A wild coyote.
The creator's fun suggestion is that the savage beast prowls around the farm on the first day and breaks into the coop thanks to the open door. Of course, that's not actually the case as ConcernedApe also promised to fix the bug, but it's still fun to imagine.
While most of the major upgrades were added with 's 1.6 Update, the last patch also includes some fantastic tweaks that players have requested since launch.Easily the best improvement is the fact that items dropped in water now float for a short time, allowing Farmers to pick up any resources that would have previously sunk to the depths. Similarly, any items that are lost and can't be retrieved will also be available for purchase from a "" in the Secret Woods.
Players can now place Legendary Fish in ponds where they'll produce Legendary Fish Roe, which can be sold for a decent price. The 1.6.9 Patch also introduces several new Easter eggs for die-hard enthusiasts to track down. This is just the tip of the iceberg as the latest update includes dozens of bug fixes, optimizations, and balance tweaks to make better than ever.
A very small percentage of farmers have embraced the future of JojaMart
