TiGames, known for its underrated Metroidvania F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch, has announced The Winds Rising as part of Sony’s PlayStation China Hero Project. Like the recently announced Dhaba: Land of Watermarks, it’s an action RPG for PS5, though a release date wasn’t announced. Check out the first trailer below, courtesy of Gematsu.
Described as a “story-driven” action RPG, The Winds Rising is about a girl who meets a lost monster cub and leaves her village to embark on an adventure. While further details are vague, TiGames teases that the protagonist’s fate is “in the player’s hands” It also touts the combat as “refreshing and smooth” and the story as “immersive and captivating” (with the “rise and fall” of a kingdom at stake).
It’s not much to go off, so stay tuned for more details in the future. In the meantime, check out our review for F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch here. It’s available for PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch and arrived last month for Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass.
