The most recent games from the long-running Like a Dragon franchise, including Infinite Wealth, are discounted on Steam for a week. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth was released back in January to critical acclaim. Many fans praise it as one of the franchise's best entries, with its incredible writing and characters, new setting of Hawaii, and updated turn-based combat system. It's also the largest game in the franchise by far, as Infinite Wealth is jam-packed with tons of side activities across multiple different locations.
After Kazuma Kiryu's saga wrapped up with Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, 2020's Yakuza: Like a Dragon ushered in a new era for the Like a Dragon franchise. Introducing a band of new characters, including new protagonist Ichiban Kasuga, and a new district in Yokohama to explore named Ijincho, Yakuza: Like a Dragon offered newcomers a fresh start. However, Kiryu's story was far from over. In preparation for Yakuza: Like a Dragon's follow-up, Infinite Wealth, developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio released Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name last year, bridging the gap of Kiryu's story between Yakuza 6, his brief appearance in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Infinite Wealth.
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio took to Twitter to announce a big week-long sale for these most recent Like a Dragon titles on Steam. Yakuza: Like a Dragon is available at a massive 80% discount, while its successors, Like a Dragon Gaiden and Infinite Wealth, are available for 40% and 30% off, respectively. Naturally, the much older Yakuza: Like a Dragon has a heavier discount than its newer sequels. RGG Studio also reminded fans that all three games are Steam Deck Verified.
While these discounts are great for fans who've been waiting to pick these games up, there is one glaring omission from the list of titles. Disappointingly, Like a Dragon: Ishin, the 2023 remake of the 2014 Yakuza spinoff, isn't included in this Like a Dragon Steam sale. Since Ishin is a side story taking place in the
