The Lost Legends of Redwall: The Scout Anthology has been delayed to 2024 days before its official release.
The game is a narrative puzzle-adventure game based on Brian Jacques' Redwall book series and was originally scheduled to arrive on December 1 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
However, developer Soma Games has today (November 28) released a new teaser trailer alongside an updated launch date, delaying the game two months to January 30, 2024.
Neither Soma Games or publisher Forthright Entertainment have shared a reason behind the last-minute delay, but like other delays in the industry, it's possible that the game requires a bit more time for polish before it's released.
The delay also comes with the announcement of The Lost Legends of Redwall: Feasts & Friends, a cooking simulation game which previously launched on mobile, will be arriving on PC the same day as The Scout Anthology.
The Scout Anthology is set in the story-rich world of Mossflower and features a linear action-adventure game told in three, episodic playable acts, each with its own story. The episodes were originally sold separately, but will all come bundled together in the new game.
«Play as Liam or Sophia, the newest member of the Lilygrove Scout Corps, as the young mice find themselves on the journey of a lifetime to save their home from ruthless pirates. Will they reach Redwall and save their friends before all is lost?» the game description reads.
Other features also include 25 different maps, a unique scent mechanic, puzzles and cryptic riddles, rich dialogue options between Liam and Sophia designed with replayability in mind, as well as visual and lighting enhancements functionality for current-gen consoles.
