The Last of Us Part II PC Development Was Completed in November 2023; May Release Alongside Season Two of the TV Show
The PC port of The Last of Us Part II was reportedly completed a few months ago, and it is not yet known why the game has not been released.
Earlier today, well-known reliable insider billbil-kun commented on the PC version of the second entry in the series by Naughty Dog released earlier this year on PlayStation 5, saying that the PC port of the game has been in development since 2021, and it was completed by November 2023. As for why the game still hasn't been released, the insider could not say but speculates the release could have been held back to coincide with the launch of the second season of the HBO show, which is scheduled for next year.

The PC version of The Last of Us Part II will be based on the Remastered release launched earlier this year on PlayStation 5. With the additions of the No Return Mode, the Lost Levels, and the developer's commentary, it is the best way to enjoy the game, as I highlighted in my review.
The Last of Us Part II Remastered is, without a doubt, the best way to enjoy Naughty Dog's excellent survival horror game, thanks to addition of the surprisingly fun No Return roguelike mode, the cut Lost Levels, developer commentary and two display modes for a proper 4K resolution experience. The main campaign's bleak story remains as controversial as it was when the original game launched on PlayStation 4, but underneath it is one of the finest survival horror games ever made.
The Last of Us Part II is now available on PlayStation 4, while the Remastered release is only available on PlayStation 5. The game will be released at some point on PC.
