Mistakes are made in TV shows all the time. Even when the budget is high, things can be overlooked. That applies to HBO's The Last Of Us as much as anything else, and while nothing appears to have been picked up by viewers for the first five episodes, fans have now spotted two oversights in episode six.
Earlier this week, a fan noticed that members of the show's crew can briefly be seen in a wide shot showing Joel and Ellie crossing what they wrongly assumed to be the river of death. The crew members are clearly trying to remain out of sight under the trees but fail to do so.

Fast forward a couple more days and another viewer has spotted a second, far more amusing mistake from the same episode. As Joel and Ellie are being given a tour of Jackson, the latter is introduced to a horse called Shimmer. An animal Ellie will get better acquainted with later on if the show continues to follow the games. What you might not have noticed when you watched Ellie meet Shimmer for the first time is the rogue hand under the horse's mouth.
The mysterious hand can be seen poking up from behind the stable door, gently touching Shimmer on the horse's lower jaw. As for what someone is doing there, the most likely explanation is that the hand belongs to a handler working on the show. That they have been strategically placed to make sure the horse reacted to Ellie the way it needed to for the shot showing their introduction.
