Publisher Rogue Games and developer Plot Twist have announced side-scrolling action adventure platformer The Last Case of Benedict Fox: Definitive Edition for PlayStation 5. A release date was not announced.

The Last Case of Benedict Fox first launched for Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store on April 27. It is also available via Xbox Game Pass.

The PlayStation 5 version will feature overhauled combat and platforming mechanics; enhancements to visuals, user interface, enemy artificial intelligence, and puzzles; new gameplay features; and more. It is currently unclear whether the gameplay updates of the PlayStation 5 version will be added to the existing Xbox and PC versions, but Gematsu has reached out to Rogue Games for clarification.

“These are substantial, meaningful gameplay and visual improvements that take what was already an absolutely gorgeous, extremely engaging Metroidvania to new heights on PlayStation 5,” said Rogue CEO Matt Casamassina in a press release.
