Side-scrolling action adventure platformer The Last Case of Benedict Fox: Definitive Edition will launch for PlayStation 5 on March 26 for $24.99 alongside a free update for the existing Xbox Series and PC versions, publisher Rogue Games and developer Plot Twist announced.
The Last Case of Benedict Fox first launched for Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store on April 27, 2023. It is also available via Xbox Game Pass.
The PlayStation 5 version will introduce new combat arenas that offer new challenges, the chance to fight with demons and other foes, and a place to master skills; new quests and puzzles; new story content that offer a deeper look into Benedict’s past; overhauled combat; traversal changes such as an accelerated flow that speeds up combat and makes some content optional; adjusted animations; and more. These additions will come to the Xbox Series and PC versions as a free update day-and-date with the PlayStation 5 version’s release.
“The team at Plot Twist has been hard at work updating The Last Case of Benedict Fox to incorporate the feedback of our passionate community and better realize our original vision for the game,” said Plot Twist CEO Pawel Czapla in a press release. “Now, we’re ready to introduce this thrilling Metroidvania title to a whole new group of players on PS5, while bringing our community on Xbox and PC the updates they’ve been patiently waiting for.”
