Danielle Panabaker, who portrays Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost on The Flash, is hoping to be back for the show's season 9. The Arrowverse is turning a decade old as of this October, as Arrow premiered on The CW back in 2012, which helped kick of the popular DC franchise. One of The CW's most successful shows is The Flash, which will be surpassing Arrow's record after its season 8 finale airs in late June. Very little details have emerged about The Flash season 9, as the DC drama was only renewed two months ago.
Throughout the Arrowverse's existence, it's common for some of the shows to lose long-time cast members throughout their run. In The Flash's case, the Arrow spinoff lost Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanagh as Cisco Ramon and Harrison Wells/Reverse Flash, respectively, after season 7. However, Cavanagh has returned in The Flash season 8 as Eobard Thawne, serving as the Big Bad of the five-part Armageddon event. Like Valdes and Cavanagh, Panabaker has been with The Flash since the very beginning. However, it looks like Panabaker's The Flash season 9 status may be up in the air.

In a new interview with TVLine, Panabaker talked about whether or not she is involved with The Flash season 9. The actor stated that she's hopeful of returning for next season of the series. While Panabaker didn't reveal too many specifics, she admitted that The CW picking up The Flash for season 9 was a «surprise.» Even though she is thrilled that the DC drama is continuing for another year, Panabaker shared the following in terms of her future with The Flash:
