Fans will be excited to hear the news that ABC has renewed its famous unscripted series The Bachelor for its whopping 27th season running. The network also renewed some of their other popular reality shows such as American Idol, Shark Tank and America’s Funniest Home Videos. Shark Tank was renewed for its 14th season, American Idol renewed for season 21 and America’s Funniest Home Videos is entering its impressive 33rd year on air.
The newest season of the hit series will be hosted by Jesse Palmer, the hit star of the show’s fifth season. He has since replaced previous host Chris Harrison in season 26 after some controversy. Palmer, who separated with his Bachelor winner only a month after the season 5 finale aired, is also known as a former football player as well as sports commentator and occasional actor. Palmer has had many hosting gigs previous to The Bachelor, and had no issue filling Harrison's shoes. Next Entertainment as well as Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon will be producing the show. Warner Bros. Television Distribution will play the role as distributor for the series as well.
