The Epic Games Store will give away 17 free games over the Christmas period.
That’s according to reliable leaker billbil-kun, who claims the promotion will launch today alongside the Epic Games Store’s Holiday Sale.
The dataminer has identified the first of the mystery giveaways as Destiny 2: Legacy Collection, which will be available to claim from 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm GMT on Wednesday.
The title includes three expansions for Bungie‘s free-to-play game: The Witch Queen, Beyond Light and Shadowkeep.
Destiny 2: Legacy Collection is now free to claim. It will be replaced by another mystery title in seven days.
The Epic Games Store has also launched its Holiday Sale. Deals include Alan Wake 2 for $27 / £21.50, EA Sports FC 24 for $19 / £16, Hogwarts Legacy for $24 / £20, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage for $23 / £21.
Destiny 2: Legacy Collection will replace GigaBash and Predecessor, which are currently free to claim on Epic’s PC marketplace.
According to its Epic Games Store listing, “GigaBash is a multiplayer arena brawler with gigantic film-inspired kaiju, larger than life heroes, earth-shattering special attacks and fully destructible environments.”
Predecessor is billed as “a fast-paced action game that combines MOBA and FPS gameplay putting you at the heart of the fight with strategic choice, third person control and immersive action”.
In 2019, the Epic Games Store offered account holders 12 free games over Christmas, and in 2020, 2021 and 2022 it gave away 15 free titles during the festive period.
