Digital Extremes announced the release of The Duviri Paradox, the latest free open world expansion to Warframe, on all platforms (PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Nintendo Switch) today.
Unlike previous open world expansions like Plans of Eidolon, Fortuna, and Heart of Deimos, The Duviri Paradox has a core roguelite twist strictly linked to its narrative. The fractured planet of Duviri is constantly shifting due to the varying moods of its child ruler, Dominus Thrax, whose spirals include Fear, Anger, Joy, Envy, and Sorrow. Each of these moods has been designed to provide a different experience in combat, interactions, environments, and even enemy behavior. The world of Duviri is also filled with side activities, including playing a board game with NPCs.
There are actually three modes available to players in this expansion. Beyond the regular Duviri Experience, The Circuit adds an endless game mode, while the Lone Story is a solo narrative experience. For the first time in Warframe, new players will have the option to immediately access The Duviri Paradox rather than having to go through the whole main path of the base game and subsequent updates, making the expansion far more accessible to any newcomers.
Digital Extremes is also adding several Supporter Packs and cosmetic bundles, as described below.
