Supermassive Games has only been committed to fall 2022 release window for, but now the company has given a specific date. The next installment in the will be releasing on November 18, 2022 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC for $39.99.
As announced at the Future Games Show, the studio had been hinting that it would be revealing the date quite soon, telling users to “mark their calendars” before the show. PlayStation Game Size on Twitter also preempted the announcement, as they seemingly found the store page on the backend first.
The trailer also showed off some of ‘s new features, which all seemed designed to add more gameplay. Players can now run, jump, climb, solve more involved puzzles, and take advantage of the title’s new inventory system. Supermassive also claims that the game has “extended exploration mechanics,” something that these mechanics appear to back up. The series has typically been in the style of other games in the narrative adventure genre that are more focused on making dialogue choices, but it seems like Supermassive is trying to break into new territory. The trailer also noted that it is over seven hours, which, if accurate, is longer than the other games that usually hover around four to five hours.
