Netflix has released the official full trailer for The Bubble after a clever teaser campaign. Two days ago, they dropped a teaser for a goofy action-horror extravaganza titled Cliff Beasts 6: Battle for Everest, a star-studded affair that featured Leslie Mann and Keegan Michael-Key, among others, fighting dragon-like creatures in the Himalayas. While the cast seemed to make it clear that this teaser was portraying the movie-within-a-movie at the center of Judd Apatow's new Netflix comedy The Bubble, coming April 1, 2022, Netflix held its tongue until today when the company proved once and for all that Cliff Beasts6is indeed part of the Bubble viral campaign.
The Bubble, which was filmed in the UK in Spring 2021, follows a film crew shooting in a COVID-19 bubble during the early days of the pandemic. The film features a massive ensemble cast that combines veteran comic actors with a few surprises, including Karen Gillan, Fred Armisen, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, Pedro Pascal, Peter Serafinowicz, Rob Delaney, Leslie Mann, Iris Apatow, and Maria Bakalova. Although it wasn't previously announced, the new trailer also reveals that the film features SNLstalwart Kate McKinnon in a small role.
