Firesprite, the studio best known for the Wipeout series appears to be working on a triple-A horror game, using Unreal 5 engine. As spotted by GamesRadar, the studio has put out a job listing for a Narrative Director.
"We are looking for a Narrative Director to join our development team for a AAA narrative driven horror-adventure game in Unreal 5," reads the listing. The Narrative Director is responsible for the project storytelling, helping establish & consider the game's universe and lore, with responsibility for the quality implementation of narrative content for project milestones and ultimately the game's release."
While it isn't clear what this project could be, we do know that Firesprite has taken over development of the Twisted Metal reboot from Lucid Games. In fact, a high ranking employee even left Lucid Games to join Firesprite in order to continue working on the reboot. Matt Southern, who worked at Lucid Games for over two years as a director, shifted to the PlayStation studio in January. The two studios are apparently located very close to one another, so more transfers are likely to take place over time.

Firesprite was acquired by Sony in September last year. The two had collaborated in the past with The Playroom and the Playroom VR, so Hermen Hulst probably knew what they were about and how the studio could fit into the PlayStation Studios portfolio.
