Prime Video's superhero comedy The Boys is full of subtle satire, meaning it would be easy for viewers to miss out on the secret double meaning of Blue Hawk's moniker. The Boys season 3 continues to use the show's rogue's gallery of superheroes to satirize everything from celebrity worship to cancel culture to police brutality. Season 3 newcomer Soldier Boy sees The Boys spoof Captain America with a nationalist superhero who is more of a murderer than a military hero, but that is not the only new addition to the roster of monstrous "supes" seen on the show.
In The Boys Season 3, Blue Hawk is an overzealous, violent racist cop with super-strength from Compound V. He is introduced as spokesman for Lonsdale's Four Freedom product line, but it is not long before controversy catches up with the villainous figure. Blue Hawk murders an unarmed black man over an alleged mugging by curb-stomping him to death, making it clear that the character is an unapologetically racist thug.
