Finding great success in the titular hero role in The Batman, it appears that Robert Pattinson wouldn't mind being a part of another blockbuster franchise, as the actor has now said he would like to be inDune: Part Two.
Ever since his Twilight days (which Pattinson himself tries to forget), the actor would go on to star in many acclaimed indie dramas such as The Rover,Good Time, High Life, and The Lighthouse. He has since returned to mainstream films with Christopher Nolan's Tenet and now Matt Reeves' reboot The Batman, for which Pattinson is already being hailed as one of the best Batman actors to date.

Now, Pattinson wants to continue his recent mainstream success and become a part of Denis Villeneuve's version of Dune. Speaking with Variety, Pattinson was asked what he thought about Reeves as a filmmaker before joining The Batman, to which he responded with, «I love those 'Apes' movies so much. There’s only been two movies — well, three now — where I wanted to do a sequel: the 'Apes' movies, 'Sicario' and 'Dune.'» Pattinson jokingly added that if Reeves could get a good performance out of an ape, the director could do the same for him.
Set to begin filming this July, Dune: Part Two pre-production is underway and will likely make a few more casting choices, giving plenty of time for Pattinson to join. In fact, recent reports are already indicating that Black Widow and Midsommar star Florence Pugh is in final talks to join the sequel in the role of Princess Irulan Corrino. Plus, Villeneuve has confirmed that the script is nearly complete.
