Terra is finally playable thanks to this Kingdom Hearts 3 mod from Kurasa25.

When Kingdom Hearts 3 was confirmed to unite the stories of every game up to that point, it was a fair assumption from fans that they'd be able to play as more than just Sora in the final battle. Sure, Sora was the main character, but he was far from the only Keyblade wielder we'd grown up with. Sadly, the base game only let players control Sora, Riku, and Aqua, with ReMind later adding a fight as Roxas and Kairi as well.

Although most of the Warriors of Light were made playable, there were still a few that were missing. Mickey, Ventus, Axel, and Terra were all completely left out of playable positions, which was confusing considering three of them already had movesets thanks to Kingdom Hearts 2 and Birth by Sleep. Thanks to a mod on Nexus Mods from Kurasa25, one of those four is now completely playable in Kingdom Hearts 3.

The mod, called Fully playable Terra and Variants, was uploaded to Nexus Mods a few days ago and has instantly become the most popular mod for Kingdom Hearts 3. As the name implies, it replaces Sora with three different variants of Terra, base Terra, Lingering Will, and Terra-Xehanort.

This isn't just a simple model swap however, as it actually changes Sora's combos to match Terra's from Birth by Sleep in their heavy-swinging glory. Terra also comes with his own Keyblades and formchanges, as well as a custom formchange for the Ends of the Earth Keyblade. It's a very impressive mod considering Terra isn't actually even a party member within Kingdom Hearts 3, only appearing as part of the team battle in ReMind and in a few cutscenes following his rescue.
