It was far from perfect, but we felt Tennis World Tour 2 came closest to recapturing the feel of PS3 classic Top Spin 4 on modern consoles. Now Australian developer Big Ant Studios is having another crack, with Tiebreak: Official Game of the ATP and WTA coming to PS5 and PS4 later this year. Announced by French publisher Nacon, the title aims to combine all of the best bits from its aforementioned tennis sim and the officially licensed AO Tennis 2.
Details are light, but the press release adds: “The studio aims for an enhanced representation of the sport, to offer a comprehensive and even more realistic experience on the latest consoles.”
As many of you will know, we’re huge tennis fans here at Push Square, so we’re eagerly anticipating learning more about this. The fact that the release is officially endorsed by the ATP and WTA is certainly a promising start, and as we mentioned previously, we felt Tennis World Tour 2 was close to realising its ambition – let’s hope this latest attempt finally delivers the tennis sim we’ve all been waiting for.

I wish it would have got it's own trailer, all of these games kind of got lost in that announcement. I didn't play their previous game but am in the market for a new tennis game
I miss the days of Top Spin. My mates and I played so much of those games as kids and would come off sessions with a thumbs in bad shape!
I do wish one day someone would make a great tennis game with an actual roster of pros, instead of two good players and about 8 other middle-rankers
