This weekend, returning World of Warcraft players that have not tried the Dragonflight expansion can give it a try for a limited time, as the free trial has returned to Azeroth. The news came as World of Warcraft prepares for their upcoming content updates that will see players return to The Forbidden Reach and explore dark places hidden underneath the Dragon Isles.
On March 21, World of Warcraft Patch 10.0.7 will go live, after several weeks of testing on the public test realm (PTR). Some of the features included with the update range from The Forbidden Reach zone, class balance updates across the board, and the addition of Goblin, Lightforged Draenei, and Worgen monks. But, before returning players can dive in and see those features for themselves, the free trial will provide a way to convince them to resubscribe to the game and try the Dragonflight expansion for at least a little while.

However, World of Warcraft players that want to try Dragonflight during the free trial will have until 11:59 PM Pacific on Sunday, March 12 to experience it. During the free trial, players can create a Dracthyr Evoker and experience their story. All classes can start the first batch of level 60 quests in the Dragon Isles. In addition, all editions of Dragonflight are 20% off on the Blizzard Shop through March 15. This means that the Base edition of Dragonflight will start at $39.99 USD for the next few days. Aside from purchasing the Epic edition, upgrading to Dragonflight does not include additional game time, so players that want to return to the game must bear that in mind.
