Activision Blizzard is set to update Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with another limited-time free multiplayer period which will allow new players to try some of the most popular modes in the latest entry in the series. Since it was released, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been free-to-play once and has received the same sort of double XP treatment that many titles before it experienced, but not quite like this.
Developers behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 have confirmed that the multiplayer will be getting five days of free access for players that don't already own the game across the various platforms that it's available on. Though it hasn't been done with many Call of Duty entries in the past, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 provided free entry to its multiplayer in December, and its about to replicate the experience in the near future for players that haven't been privy to the content that's been added to the game since. Ahead of its launch, Call of Duty fans could also acquire codes for experience boosts in Modern Warfare 2 with products like Mountain Dew, Little Caesars, and Jack Links.

A Call of Duty update has confirmed that Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer and some of its multiple game modes will be unlocked for free between March 16 and March 20. The limited-time free offer provides access to six multiplayer maps in a rotation that may feel a little more restricted than the one that existing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 players are used to.
