Since Skyrim's release in 2011, it has become known as one of the most versatile games in how gamers can choose to replay it. The role-playing potential in Skyrimis enormous and it is one of the biggest reasons that many players still choose to play Bethesda's title over more modern RPGs. At this point, it's rare to find a role-play idea that hasn't been completed by someone else online, but there are definitely ideas out there than can provide a fresh Skyrim experience for most players.

The playthrough comes from YouTuber Nerbit, who completed Skyrim as Sith Lord Emperor Palpatine from Star Wars. The player uses the mod «Skyrim Wars» to turn the Stormcloaks into Jedi, and the Imperials into Stormtroopers. Nerbit dresses in dark robes that resemble Palpatine and limits himself to the Sparks spell to recreate Force Lightning. The completion of the run had two conditions — finishing both the Civil War questline and the main quest in Skyrim. Appropriately, Nerbit sides with the Imperials during the Civil War and eventually completes the main quest while playing as evil as possible.
Nerbit has a great history of completing Bethesda challenge runs on YouTube, with Skyrim an essential part of that. In the past, he has played the game as the antithesis to his Palpatine run, managing to complete Skyrim while playing as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
