Temuera Morrison, who first played Jango Fett in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, remembers the original Boba Fett actor Jeremy Bulloch. Bulloch originally played Star Wars' iconic bounty hunter in 1980's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back before reprising his role in 1983's Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Unfortunately, Bullock passed away in December 2020, just as The Mandalorian brought his character back into the limelight with Morrison under the helmet.
Despite having next to no lines in the original Star Wars trilogy, Bulloch’s presence helped make Boba Fett one of the most beloved Star Wars characters of all time. In Return of the Jedi, Fett seemingly meets his end via a Sarlacc Pit. However, Disney+'s The Mandalorian, which takes place after the events of Episode VI, revealed Fett survived. In The Mandalorian season 2, the character was brought back with a vengeance. Disney and Lucasfilm added an homage to Bulloch in The Mandalorian’s season 2 finale. Just before the credits scene teasing The Book of Boba Fett, a tribute can be seen showing the episode's dedication: “In Memory of Jeremy Bulloch.” Now, reflecting back on his Star Wars debut, Morrison has taken a moment to honor his predecessor.
