A new demo for Tekken 8 is coming to PlayStation on December 14 and Xbox and Steam on December 21. Unlike the multiple closed network tests, it focuses on single-player content and is available for everyone with no time limit.
We're just one short month away from the long-awaited release of Tekken 8 and, just in time for the holidays, Bandai Namco is celebrating that fact by giving fans another chance to play the game. We've already had several closed network tests over the past few months that let us preview the online and versus modes, but this demo is a little bit different since it focuses on single-player content and isn't time-limited like they were.
Over on Twitter, the official Tekken account revealed the demo and confirmed that it will release on December 14, just a few days away from now. While the CNT and CBT tests focused on online play, this demo instead gives fans a chance to try out some of the game's single-player modes, something that we've not really seen all that much of.
The demo allows players to try out the first chapter of the story mode, The Dark Awakens, which features an epic battle between Jin and Kazuya that kicks the story off. That's not all, though, as it also includes the local versus modes, meaning that it's a great chance to brush up on your Tekken skills before the game's launch next month. It's not currently clear who will be available to play in the local versus modes, but it's likely to be a similar roster to the network tests.
