UK indie publisher Team17 has changed its name to Everplay.
The company reckons that this is an indication of how it has evolved – whatever that means – since it went public back in 2018. The newly-named Everplay also believes that this will help its various divisions work together.
This branding change applies to the overall group; the individual companies under the Everplay umbrella will retain their original names. These are publisher Team17, sim specialist Astragon and education firm StoryToys.
Team17 was founded 35 years ago in 1990.
“I am excited to be unveiling our new Group brand today, which we believe better represents our business which has evolved greatly since the IPO and reflects our DNA to never stop playing," CEO Steve Bell (pictured) said.
"This rebrand not only creates an ideal backdrop to foster greater cross-collaboration internally but also reflects our aspirations to expand our reach across complementary sectors within the broader indie market.
“Fundamentally, we want to create pioneering and captivating experiences that enrich and inspire players around the world, and I firmly believe everplay will become synonymous with creating games that deliver a lifetime of play.”
