One month before the March 9 premiere of Survivor 42, CBS revealed the newest castaways, including 22-year-old Lydia Meredith. Originally from Fredericksburg, Virginia, this Los Angeles resident is an actress, writer, and waitress. She hopes her “little sister” energy eases the other players to trust her, so she can go on to win Survivor season 42.
Though she claims she doesn’t have much life experience, Lydia moved across the country by herself at 20-years-old, proving her adaptability and willingness to take risks. However, no one in the new season of Survivor should underestimate Lydia's survival skills.

She may be one of the younger players this season, but a look into who Lydia is, makes her one of the most exciting new players on Survivor season 42. While many may see her as one unlikely winner, Lydia may just surprise the viewers.

Waitressing as a day job, Lydia moved to LA to pursue acting and writing (via CBS). She has multiple credits on her IMDB page dating back to 2013. She’s had mostly smaller roles in TV movies or Indie features. Lydia has also worked with stars like Bella Thorne and had films at Sundance Film Festival. Lydia revealed in her Survivor survey that her hero is Kristen Wiig because of how “she paves the way for herself and writes.”
