Superman Set Photos: Lois Lane & Jimmy Olsen Don Animated Series Inspired Costumes

While the latest set photos offered a fresh look at David Coresnwet as Superman and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, they also showcased Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, and Perry White. Here are the first glimpses of Rachel Brosnahan, Wendell Pierce, and Skyler Gisondo’s Superman 2025 characters.

Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane sports black hair and dons a purple top and brown pants in her first Superman set photos. As pointed out by Daniel Richtman in the following X post (formerly Twitter), the top in particular bears a resemblance to a look worn by Lois Lane in Superman: The Animated Series.

While David Coresnwet’s Superman suit is a mix of multiple versions of Superman from the past, the bright colors and red shorts also take a cue from Superman: The Animated Series. Furthermore, the same could be said for Perry White and Jimmy Olsen.

In the photos, Wendell Pierce’s Perry White can be seen alongside Lois Lane walking out of a plane in the aftermath of a supposed action sequence. He wears a blue shirt, a purple tie, and a brown waistcoat. Pierce’s outfit in the photos has also been noted for its similarities to an image of an original design for Perry White in Superman: The Animated Series.

Jimmy Olsen from Superman: The Animated Series wore a brown jacket and green t-shirt as his regular outfit. The following set photo also sees Skyler Gisondo’s Jimmy Olsen wearing a similar brown and green jacket in James Gunn’s Superman (2025).

While Jimmy Olsen’s role in Zack Snyder’s DCEU was short-lived, Gisondo’s version is expected to have a sizable arc in Gunn’s DCU. Along with him, Coresnwet, Brosnahan, Pierce and Gathegi, Superman (2025) stars
