Superman & Lois initially set up Bizarro as the villain of season 2, but the story might go a different route with him and Superman joining forces. The history of Bizarro and his intentions have been quite an enigma on Superman & Lois. Bizarro initially appeared to be out to destroy the Man of Steel, only to reveal his real target as cult leader Ally Alston (Rya Kihlstedt). While trying to make sense of the situation, Superman finds himself imprisoned by General Mitch Anderson (Ian Bohen) and branded a traitor to the United States.
This continues the theme of Superman & Lois season 2 of Kal-El's universal allegiance to humanity being at odds with the U.S. government's desires that he work for them. Moreover, it is also the latest unexpected turn in what has been a season delivering them with virtually every episode. As the season finale draws closer into view, Superman & Lois is doing a masterful job of keeping viewers guessing about where it's headed.

With numerous parallel stories destined to converge as the season nears its end, what it all means for Bizarro is a big question.
