Actor Estelle Harris has passed away at the age of 93. The esteemed actress and comedian played a number of iconic roles during her impressive, wide-ranging career that spanned decades. Many might associate the distinctive timbre of Harris' vocal talents with their childhoods – Harris portrayed the sometimes shrill, always beloved Mrs. Potatohead in Pixar's Toy Story franchise. Harris' most legendary role remains to many, however, that of Estelle Costanza, the melodramatic mother of Jason Alexander's character George in Seinfeld, a recurring role she portrayed from 1992-1998.
Due to her unique, expressive voice and impeccable comedic timing, Harris gravitated toward voice-over work in films like Toy Story, as well other idiosyncratic characters in television. The actor offered her talents over the course of her career to the roles of Mama Lipsky in Kim Possible, Thelma in The Proud Family, Mama Gunda in Tarzan II, and Mrs. Turtle in Mickey Mouse Works. She also appeared in animated shows for adults such as Marty's wife in American Dad! andDeath'smother in Family Guy.
