An imaginative modder has given minor Horizon Zero Dawn non-player characters their own unique backstories and video series. Like its sequel Horizon Forbidden West, Guerrilla Games' open-world action game takes players to a post-apocalyptic world populated by scattered tribes and animalistic robots. While Horizon Zero Dawn focuses on Aloy, a young outcast of the Nora tribe, each character in the world of Horizon has a story of their own.
The world of Horizon is made up of various different tribes, each bringing a unique style and culture to the sci-fi setting. The Nora tribe, for example, is a hardy hunter-gatherer society that follows a High Matriarch and worships a deity called the All-Mother. The Carja empire, meanwhile, is a city-dwelling kingdom which appoints a king and worships the sun. The world of Horizon Zero Dawn is a far-distant version of our own world, and each tribe is similarly inspired by real-world groups like the native American tribes or ancient Roman empire. Horizon Forbidden West introduced new tribes, like the Utaru and Tenakth, which helped broaden the fictional setting further.

Recently Maqsimous began The Nora Mother, a second video series that follows a Nora woman named Sequola
