Poppy Playtime Chapter 2's release date was hinted at on Steam as April 29 due to a surprise listing that was taken down, and teaser material that was drip-fed to the community made the date seem almost like a foregone conclusion, but the date has already passed with nothing to short for it. Poppy Playtime has seen much success due to its unique horror nature, but despite hints and leaks, Chapter 2: Fly In A Web's theorized release date seems to have been a misconception despite all hints pointing towards the day.

Throughout the week leading up to April 29, the MOB Games social media accounts were leading up to the presumed Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 release date with a continuous series of fragmented images. These images acted as a puzzle that seemed to piece together and depicted hints at what may have been coming for the new chapter, but despite making a complete picture, the expected release never materialized.
